I got electraX 2.5 as part of a no install file, the t2k file works for a bit but it always deletes it self and then I have to extract it again

I added some stuff into my hosts file but the t2k file is still getting deleted, anyone else had this issue

 

Turn off your internet connection. Pull the cable. This is the golden rule for all Tone2 products, meaning before you open your DAW, pull the internet cable. If you use W-Lan, turn it off completely before opening your DAW. I too use the Tone2 no install version and it works flawlessly for me, in fact its the only version that never deletes the t2k file for me and never gives me any nag-screens. Turning off your anti-virus programm might also help.

 

Yes everyone has that with Tone2 in general and especially with Electra 2.

I always have a compressed copy in the folder that I uncompress as soon as the other is deleted.

 

Once you get it working lock the tk2 file.

 

How do you do that

 

i think you click properties and check the hidden box and read only, i tried this to but it still deleted the .tk2 file, so no idea

 

this is a 'feature' of all tone2 products as far as i know.
perhaps try amending the file properties through a command prompt?
or try adding a rule to your firewall..?
