    Hey all

I wanted to see if any of you could help me figure out how to edit this piece. I have 5 pieces of audio, in a 4 bar measure. I tried standard, I tried triplet, I tried dotted.. Am I going to have to just space these evenly by visual since they won't line up to any kind of grid ? I don't really think it's intentional, just a really sloppy drum fill that goes on for the last 20 seconds of the song .... some bars work in 4/4 but most look like this (picture below).

tempo is 168 I cut it off at the start of the grid.. so you should just be able to set tempo to 168 snap to the beginning and see what I am dealing with :)
I bounced down 1 overhead track as well. If you want that I can upload that too

where I started it, its pretty simple 4 beats per bar, but eventually it turns into 5 drum hits per bar.

    1. kik.mp3 and snr.mp3 are the same
    2. bd plays for 2 1/2 beats, but not precise
    3. at 3.3 and a bit, bd plays quarter note triplets, accelerando (speeding up the tempo), I think supposedly up to right before 6.1 (at 168bpm)
    4. then again 2 1/2 bars of bad timing up to close to 8.3
    5. then 2 bars with a bit higher tempo than 168, ending a bit past 10.2
    6. ...

Summary: no consequent 4/4 bars, no good timing, no constant tempo => forget about DAW sync/grid.

At least this is what I found.

Hey, Thank you for getting back to me and giving it a go :)

I uploaded the rest of the song that I managed to fix. You will hear clicks, possibly pops, gaps. I have NOT done any Fill/crossfades yet. I had to dumb down the quality to be able to upload here, size was to big.The track goes all the way up to the part you took a look at.

EDIT: also just went through the track and made several adjustments.. so if you hear anything that sounds off most likely they have already been corrected!

oh and thank goodness you came to the same conclusion as me .. .I sat there for at least an hour trying to figure out how to make that work.. I kept looking at it hoping a pattern would stick out, nothing ever did.. one beat had 5 hits, the following 4, then 2 more beats filled with 5 hits .. it is ridiculous haha

Too big? If you want to upload bigger files and don't care if they're deleted by the hoster six months later, maybe zippyshare.com is an option. I use this quite often. Limit is 500MB per file.

Nah, it's just not good, maybe it was a beginner having fun...

I'll listen to the last one.

EDIT: yep, a lot of gaps, but the instruments sound a lot better now.
