Posting this here in case someone else has this issue:

While using the East West libraries with their PLAY VST, I encountered a frustrating problem where all my PLAY tracks would sound very staccato and cut off after export. PLAY would work and sound completely fine in my DAW but I just could not export any sustained notes or sounds.

After some research, I found out that you can deselect "Stream From Disk" from the hamburger menu(3 horizontal lines in the top left corner of PLAY) but that only works for some libraries.

What worked for me was to force my DAW to do a real-time export. It seems PLAY does not play nice with some DAW's ability to speed export and cuts off notes.
