    Hi,

Somebody is selling me these for £175. I would like to know if the price is reasonable? Any of you who have used them before or using now, how was your experience? Which amp would be the best (budget) for them?

    Many thanks.

Most certainly, a decent class A amp should be more then enough.
Personally I would even easily pay 300 for those.

Consider that Dynaudio quit making passive versions of the BM5 in 2009. The BM-a series after that were powered, according to my research. That makes them at least 7 years old. I would want to hear them cranked up with an amp similar to what you plan on getting first. Also, power amps often have fans, which you don't want to hear in your mix space. Could be a great buy, could be a bust. Hope it works out for you. Unless you have another use for the amp, I would consider new powered monitors that have a warranty.

Thank you very much rhythmatist. The offer was indeed tempting due to brand name but you are so correct. I will save the money this time and add more to get some new decent ones. Many thanks again bro.
