Hey everyone,

I recently ran into a strange issue with my Arturia setup after moving the entire /Library/Arturia folder (around 70–80 GB with all instruments and soundbanks) to an external SSD to save space on my internal MacBook Pro drive.

Here’s exactly what I did:

1. I moved /Library/Arturia to /Volumes/Ext. SSD/Arturia.
   
   
2. Then I created a symbolic link
   
   So Everything loads fine — all plugins (Pigments, Analog Lab V, etc.) work and recognize the content.
   
   The problem:
   
   Inside my Arturia instruments, all my third-party presets appear twice in the browser.
   
   It’s like the software is scanning both the real external path and the symlinked system path simultaneously, even though they point to the same folder.
   
   Has anyone experienced this and found a clean fix?
   
   Do I need to edit a specific config or XML file so Arturia stops indexing both paths?
   
   Or is there a better way to officially move the /Library/Arturia folder without causing double indexing?
   
   Any insight would be massively appreciated — I’d love to keep the content on my external SSD without having to see my presets twice.

To fix duplicate presets showing up, delete the "db.db3" file located in the main
"C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets\" folder

Then allow it to rescan and it will create a new database file.
