    Thank you all for your opinions.Will probably get a bigger screen and use the old one for the mixer view or donate it to the 1% billionaire`s club.

    I prefer multiple screens over one big screen (which is why I use 4 identical 24" monitors in a 2x2 array) because its easier to snap and dedicate windows to, sure the 1" bezel is a bit of a pain but I want my mixer to take up half of my screen and not a pixel more.

    I don't like 21:9 monitors because they don't give you enough screen real estate for the size or the money, the max area enclosed by a rectangle is when all sides are equal (ie square).

    IMG_20160401_131403341.jpg 2 x24in monitors + a 50in LED TV slammed close right on top. This way you dont have bad breath clients breathing over your shoulder. I keep the tracks up top and the mixer on the bottom. Plugins on the left one. When I got BIG projects I stretch the mixer across the 2x24s. LOVE this setup!
    On windows I use an app called ultramon with hotkey presets to use different monitor setups
    ALL=all 3
    TV=only the 55
    Work2=2x24
    Work1=1x24
    Makes switching around a breeze

    Two screens here since "forever".... you had to buy an expensive Matrox grafic card to do that when I started using two monitors! And it´s still the same: One for sequenser and one for the rest ... gives you the very best overview IMHO!

    Every desent (cheap) grafic card can do the trick these days, but dont rely on build in stuff on a mobo, it often doesnt works!

    Good luck

    Dual monitors is better in DAW with video
    Rec/edit in monitor 1 and full screen preview in monitor 2
    also in After fx, Premiere etc,,

    Well, it is not so unergonomic...
    I made a little presentation here:

    34" 21:9 LG curved screen
    2x27" Touch screens

    As you see the ergonomics are pretty descent:

    Even with a large MIDI controller in front the numbers are still ok:

    How about the neck,looking up there or do you mainly work with lower two monitors?
    Are those B2030A?
    Very neutral & transparent speakers.

    At the moment i have 27"dell and 2x24"Dells on both sides (vertical) instead of the 34" one...
    Its a dream to work, the only thing lacking is the full multitouch support of the major DAWs. Usine (loving it) and Bitwig (not so much) are the only ones that are working like it is suppose to (touch-wise). I also have 2 iPADs (V-Control, Lemur, Animoog) and 2 BCR2000 for additional control.

    Yup, truths with the matched sub.
    As far as looking up, Its not too bad, you can glance up without moving your head. Thats why it's slammed so close.I mainly work on the 2 until the projects get big. Ususally a browser is open up top. I also have a recliner behind my chair for gaming and movies ect with a wireless media keyboard.

    Looks very good!
    BTW, in which program did you make the 3D images?
    It's that a Korg M50?
    How did you do that?

    great weekend reading. i dont get enough on this subject.

    i have a 245b and supplement it sometimes with a 22inch, it works ok.
    but my great question is the 2 screen vs one bigger and size vs resolution.
    to many variables for me...

    Its made on SketchUp with ready made models from their 3dwarehouse. Its the most easy to use and user-friendly 3D app I've come across with tons of free 3d models on the site.
    Yes, for the purpose of the presentation I used Korg M50 model (cos its big and clunky).

    BTW, I have Roland A70 and Physis Piano K4 (also big and clunky, so I keep it hidden in a tray under the desk)
    The A70 is serving a separate workstation (equipped with 24"touch screen, 2x22" and a BCR2000) which I use for running heavy synths and Kontakt.
    I also have another 19" touch - open frame, rack-mounted, used for Master signal visualisation on a separate computer, now updated with the brand new FLUX Pure Analyser (thanks R2R and all involved) via network protocol.

    Wow!
    How is your experience with the Physis K4?
    How do you feel the action?
    And the firmware?
    It seems a very complete controller!

    I love it! its a bit heavy for my untrained fingers (i am used to semi-weighted keys - anyway I am not trying to play Lizt on it..), but as a controller - simply the best!.. Completely customizable and with a build in 8ch MIDI controller, free zoning, tons of controls...

    i personally like using multiple screens, (hell, you find old LEDs/LCD's around here for nothing)... so I usually use 3, one for main arrange, 2nd for plugin management (like kontakt or synth instantiations I am using and tweaking), and 3rd for either notes/video or mix window...
    i like having them discrete, although I have never worked with a really large "1" monitor situation (at least in years, ....back when my 21" CRT color monitor was a big deal in 1996).... i'm just used to it that way... when I work with one monitor I get all confused or slowed down...:)
