is the 1.2 out with the gui can I download it ?? I used the beta and havent checked on this project in a long time so any ypdates can I donwload the gui emu??

Well whos going to do a Viper / DSP563 shootout

 

DSP56k is same as Virus. Some bugs maybe, but still same vibe, except DAC artefact.
Viper seems has way less warmth, body, a lot of plastic highs. Still fine, but not worse than Spire, Sylenth1, z3ta2.... Just another synth with Virus concept, made with Flowstone.

 

Here is the shootout between a real Virus and Viper:

 

Only difference I hear is a lack of Lows in Viper
Subtle in Preset 8, 16, 18, 21, 29, 30, 31
& Clearly in Preset 11
And there is a little diference in Preset 24, 27
Correct me if I am wrong.

It's pretty dang close imo. Whatever changes there are, like the choice to use more modern ZDF filters, were conscious. Viper feels like if Access Virus made a Virus D in 2021. It's going to have subtle tonal changes and not be a perfect 1:1 to their earlier 1990's models.

 

I have a question
Why some people compare Virus Powercore to Viper?
Virus Powercore is a Virus B
And Viper is a Virus Ti
These are completely different synthesizers
And why some people compare DSP563 to Viper?
If I am correct on the current stage it emulates Virus C
And right now isn't able to run Virus Ti Rom
And again Viper is a Virus Ti
So why they are compared?
I am wrong?

 

all these years us poor guys where gathering money to buy a Supernova II , a Waldorf Q , an Alesis Andromeda an OB-6 or other $5k analogue synth ...........instead we opted to spend it on an Access Virus Ti ,

and from all the synths you could emulate (Waldorf Microwave XT , Novation Supernova ) and re-make you make my poor-man's bought after a thousand of struggles synth , render it obsolete , fucking nobodies tha spend $1k on omnisphere rompler or feel so special now that they tthink tthey have a Virus Ti2 emulation , they think - we all know (who have an Actual Virus Ti) how poor even U-he

why dont you guys try to make ALESIS ANDROMEDA V , or WALDORF MICROVAVE XT , why did you choose to remake the synth i bought after 2years of hard work in warehouse all you sissies with doctorattes and university papers would never accept tto work to , yett you crack and emulate the only synth i was able to buy at a decent price thus rendering my life struuggle obsolete , rich fold have supernovas and andromedas and OB-6'S ................YET all you choose to reproduce and make me little , render my synth into some crap every nobody that never gave his life to music to be able to load all my hard-earned synth presets , the same fucks feel sorry for John and throw a ban party to some dude that released his license, but not for Ummet and his marvelous Genesis V2.2 synth ,masses bending over to $$$, no pity and sorrow for the artist that suuicided that blew his mind juzz to escape the sick reality that this life and society is after all

 

triggered? what is wrong with Omnisphere now? Connect your Virus to it using Hardware Profile. it's really nice.

you are laughing now tha my Access Virus Ti2 was emulated for free from some dsp563xx and some Adam Szabo , a $1,5k synth i bought working day and night all my hopes and dreams dead in front of a capitalist society,beautiful young women, that bends over and surrenders to $$$ to old ppl with money , to corp's

yes laugh they emulated my Virus Ti2 (not even close btw ;p) and you got it for free, while they dont clone/emulate Waldorf Q , Microwave XT , Andromeda Alesis A6 ,Novation Supernova Rack I and II

 

just sell your TI2 bro and your dream will revive back like most of us that don't have TI2 here.

 

I use the dsp56300 all the time, and I have a ti2 also. it is very convenient for me. I can write using my TI patches, quickly inside Logic. Since I do not delete the Midi data in Logic, if later on into a project I want to record the part with hardware Virus; it is simple to just load Virus Control plugin in place of the 56300.

I should probably try the emulator on my Mac Pro to check out what it does. but there is a Poco in that machine anyway.

would you sell an 808 because Behringer makes a clone? money aside, obviously; but not because of Behringer. And that's a physical device. I am of the opinion software emulations improve the long term value of the hardware units. (unless it was a junk device to start with)

I play all Kamui presets thru dsp56300 and they are the same as I play them with my Virus C. Just no need for Virus DAC into audio interface ADC recording thru wire.
It is same. It is not the sound emulation like Viper. It is code translation from digital dsp into digital plugin. There is sysex import, it has OS bugs like Virus has, it works with same internal non-standard Virus sample rate (but converted into project DAW sample rate).

All what you may hear (difference) are:
- Virus DAC, wires noise, Audio interface ADC artefacts vs DSP56300 played with internal sample-rate resampled into DAW project sample rate
- Your TI sonic features, advantages, disadvatages and differences vs Virus B/C (as DSP56300) sonic features, advantages, disadvantages such as filters, polyphony (not so much here), hypersaw/supersaw (or how they marketed this), B/C internal sample-rate vs TI internal sample-rate differences, etc
