Not been on here for a while as ive been busy with the team working squashing bugs in Osirus and developing our latest addition to our emulation line-up (Vavra - Waldorf Micro Q emulator)

Im setting this thread up ready to answer any questions you may have and to take any bug reports once we have made the public release

Vavra is currently in Alpha Testing mode, which means its available to members of our discord server who have donated £20 or more but free public release will be happening sometime very soon

This is excellent work thank you for sharing! These old digital synth ROM emulations starting to happen are super interesting, nord lead 3 would be cool, then we can all forget about discoDSP's vst.

May I ask, is it too difficult to emulate the DSP in the Nord Lead 1 instead of 3?

Has sounds that you don't hear in other synth libraries for sure. Also has some recognizable presets from hit songs.

Can play 10 notes at once without CPU spiking up & down. Can only get better from here I would expect.

 

On WIN10, Vavra VST3 wont load in latest version of Cubase. Also no luck with VST2/VST3 in latest version of Maschine.

 

You are either missing the Firmware or missing the Factory Patches, both need to be placed next to the plugin itself and can be found here....

Amazing, works great. Just put OS file in same folder as VST2, worx in FL and Nanohost.

 

Working fine here, this is exciting! Amazing thing. Using too much cpu for now but I guess it will get optimized with time like Osirus did. Congrats DSP56300!

I have no words that would express how I feel about playing with MicroQ again. Terratec Komplexer was one of my favourite synths and this sounds even better. Of course, this is a pure emu and Komplexer was just best imitation they could make at the time (mid aughts).

It's working perfectly here on Linux Debian 11, VST2 version. It uses double the CPU than Osirus, though. I wonder what's the best firmware to use with Vavra? I just used the last available version 2.23. What version are you testing it with @Ayahuasca?

I'm on a soundbanks hunt... The sound banks on Waldorf's website are very nice. What you would expect from factory sound banks.
