I'm already very happy with Vavra and Xenia, those things are the bee's knees. So I can't see this thing doing too badly either. Perhaps some NL enthusiast can compare it with the various clones.

Ok, so it's not my personal favourite, but really, would I really complain about awesome stuff coming out? No. Fuck no.

Sigh, sure if you want to read it that way. I didn't say I'm not grateful for all of these gifts, because I am. And neither did I say "do [MY FAVOURITE] now!".

All of this is free and awesome regardless of what I think of it, that's how grateful I am for this stuff.

 

If you are going to be comparing one with a Nordlead 2, you can pretty much take your pick.

Play your sounds though an analog mixer. Feed it back to laptop/interface. Add a bit of eq and overdrive it a bit.Problem solved. Now you have the authentic gear. No one could tell the difference. The analog domain is the key to the 1999 sound. Even recording vst's overdriven into the analog domain sounds much better actually.

If you say so. JP8000 uses proprietary DSP, not the 56300 chips, and needs reverse engineering before emulation. It certainly isn't going to come from The Usual Suspects.

 

Someone will figure it out. They said the saturn could never be figured out.
