    Hello,

I do realize that this probably isn't very popular music, but I made a generative drone ambient piece:

Anybody who wants to comment on this is welcome to do so.

    Whoa...nice sound work!
Very good feel, room and atmosphere. Should be a film score already. Really nice creation of space.

What do you use to create this big atmosphere from the background? Any special plugins, synth, techniques you prefer?

    I like it much!
Music hasn't to be popular - just do it your own way so you're really authentic.
I've made and still making Ambient music, it's a kind of music where you have the greatest freedom.

Well done buddy - and please post more! :mates:

    Here a video-clip i've produced for a friend:

This is nice, i like the composition, use of different instruments, something i lack at times, I am very interested in ambient music and look for instruments suited to this genre. I will check Soundcloud out next  Its nice to see others are into this style of music.

Wow, I didn't expect that much answers. Thanks!!

    www.soundcloud.com/silent_frill

I have them in flac (I'm lossless format nerd). If you want them for download, let me know.

I used several instances of ALL valhalla plugins (execept FreqEcho):

    Code:
    http://www.valhalladsp.com/
I guess ValhallaShimmer gives the ambience.

Furthermore I used Noatikl to write 4 midistems and I used Loomer Aspect on all 4 stems.

Kookaboo; the tundra song is great!!

P.S.: Does anybody know a good name fo this song?

oh man, this is really amazing stuff!
Grey, Into the darkness, Mothership, Dude... really good! ... and Tonetripper! wtf? sounds disturbing! how did you get that dissonant tune? is it sample-based?

what are your influences, inspiration sources or idols? reminds me of something special, but can't name it at the moment..

The 4 oldest songs (Dude, Mothersip, Angst and tonetripper) are done with Paulstretch:

    Paulstretch

All 4 songs are made in the same way: I make a very short sequence (about 16 sec) with arpeggio's and all, render it to a wav and import it in Paulstretch. You can stretch the sequence for as long as you like. I stretched them for about 50 times. You can draw a stretch curve and there are plenty of other options. One options is making a slight difference between left and right. That's called 'beating' or binaural beats, the same way as brainwaves are simulated. That creates the dissonance.

The other songs are mad with noatikl (which writes its own midi files) and my knowledge of synthesis. For thos songs I used Loomer aspect alot. Lot's of reverb, delay, whatever comes to mind. There are no rules.
