Hi, this is probably a stupid question, but when i download big packages from the sister site, they are divided into parts. Are these parts the same for every site they are uploaded to?

for example if i download part1 from rapidgator can i download part2 from uploaded?

And thanks a ton to the uploaders for their service

 

All scene release files are uploaded without modifications, in their original state from the releaser.

 

no at least not for me for a few large files. I tried long ago and it did not work to swap the files so I stopped trying.
but a few times the up-loader stated that the links are interchangeable and it was good.

 

it seems like lately, the ffs have almost all but forced ppl into premium services, etc...

 

Just find a torrent on rutracker if the size is too big

 

I've done it many times with no problems, just be sure all downloaded archive files employ the same naming policy before attempting to extract, else the extration will fail because the extractor will be simply unable to find the expected file(s).

EDIT RE: @Yellow Raven's comment above - as long as the part size is the same on both providers, you should be ok.

yeh they are interchangeable - Do it all the time.....Just watch the rar filenames as they are not in the same order in the list, sometimes they are mixed so one set could be 1,2,3 but another list could be 2,1,3

 

Actually, most of the time, files are interchangeable.
You can easily check by comparing their sizes.
Also JDownloader is able to check that to.
So if you use it, you can copy links from rapidgator and uploaded.net together, and you will see if JDownloader "see" them as one package.

The files are split so their size is under maximum size for free user on file hosting services.
This size sometimes differ from one service to another.
But for uploaders it's much easier to split one upload into the smaller one as they have to do it only once, and keep only one version in case of re-up.

 

As long as they have the same amount of files and the same file size, which is on principle always the case, yes. I'm always doing this and so far this always worked (with the exception for one single file/part, but that was probably a server error).

So be careful when downloading and accessing unknown sites. It's just a warning sign to be aware of which websites you enter. Because I was the victim of a scam, it looked like a typical food delivery site, but it didn't. You know, it happened during the Covid pandemic.
