Say your project tempo is 140 BPM and the song you have is 130, when you take the sample and select 'Fit To Tempo' in FL Studio, it automatically analyzes the sample, and fits it to 140 flawlessly

sure it has. all audio can adjust to tempo. a sample must have been "cut" at a certain measure from start for it to work i think. if its just a random segment of audio cut in-between beats i don't think s1 will know where to set the first beat.

I dont use Studio One but I Found this on another site.Hope it will be of some help.

Under Song>Song Setup>General is a check box that reads "Stretch Audio Files to Song Tempo"

    Any chance it's currently unchecked?

Under the Track Inspector (click the "i" while an individual track is highlighted) there are two settings for the track:
Tempo (and you should select Timestretch) and
Timestretch (where you can decide which method of stretching sounds the best on your source material)

    or
