Hello all, Ableton min processor requirements specify that it will work with Intel Core i5.
No mention about Core Ultra.

I am eyeing a laptop that wears an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U-1.3GHz/Meteor Lake (14th Gen)

Will it work or reject? thanx for your time

 

It should. Ableton 12 needs AVX2 support, and this processor supports it, so it should be fine. But I am not sure how well it may work as this processor has 10 efficiency cores out of the total 12. Earlier Ableton versions can run on any system as long as the OS supports.

But you should look into the Performance core vs efficiency cores. This processor has 12 cores, out of which 10 are efficiency cores and only 2 are performance cores. I don't know much about how this will affect your production. You should definitely look into this before making a purchase.
