Guys, I installed Image-Line FL Studio Producer Edition v24.2.1 Build 4526 Rev 1.Warez_Down
And it cracked properly. While I put it in the Input and output firewall, the program connects to this link
    Host: sounds.cloud.image-line.com:443
    Host: cloud.image-line.com
    Host: cdn.assets.cloud.image-line.com

    Host: search.cloud.image-line.com:443
Of course, in the cloud section on the left, it says that you are offline.
Is it possible to send system and user information to their own server?
I'm saying this for user safety because I read in a comment that they banned all of a person's work accounts for using their craked apps.
    Isn't there a problem?

Yeah, Imagine-Line tracks stuff like your OS and machine ID to register the product, but it's all good if you don't have an IL account linked to a cracked FL.
    Here's more info:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wSZY5Eah25ynIvKC67laUfr1vN3aeBidGAqKu-YzZMA/htmlview
No. Just don’t mix legit and cracked stuff and keep it offline. Looks like IL ban users who switched from cracked to legit because it wasn’t uninstalled right and left some junk in the registry. I think this causes more problems than it solves, so be careful if you have an IL account.

I have an account but I haven't purchased a package yet.
Do you think this is the only way they can follow up?

Imagine-Line can check your IP to see if you're sharing your license (tied to your account), but that's only after you've bought it. Besides that, I don't think there's any other way. Just keep using FL offline and you'll be fine and if you buy it later make sure to do a full uninstall:wink:

If you can use something "offline" that means you can firewall it from having internet connectivity by blocking inbound and outbound traffic. Mostly outbound is your concern. If you block their webservers in your hosts file correctly, nothing will transmit to those domains. You can check if you have blocked them correctly by visiting them in your browser and it will refuse to connect.

You can even use tools like Wireshark (or other pc thing) to see where it wants to communicate with. Sometimes developer can be "sneaky" and use other servers. Like the website for their house painting company (real example).

I believe all modern software does some or other data collection and sends it back to their servers.

They definitely try. data is the new gold...(well, not so 'new' anymore).

even if what pittance they are getting from us is absolutely next to nothing compared to what other platforms have already taken, and continue to do ...and now with all the money in the world to shape, er, buy, the incoming transactional US government administration and legislation on all this (and nope, this isn't a political thing, it's been said out loud, being acted upon, and is fact) and created a new Grand Canyon of divergent wealth disparity which probably isn't gonna end up real great for most of us who aren't in that financial echelon...

They are not allowed to collect personal data at all, because doing so would violate applicable law.

FL Studio is built by Image‑Line in Belgium.
Belgium is in Europe and the "General Data Protection Regulation GDPR" applies in Europe

    Art. 1 GDPRSubject and objectives

    1. This regulation contains rules on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

    2. This regulation protects the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons and in particular their right to the protection of personal data.

    3. The free movement of personal data within the Union may not be restricted or prohibited on grounds related to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

In the age of VPN, proxies and shared IP addresses, this would be a very bad idea from IL. :winker:

Does anyone know who that person was on Twitter? Or X
In the comments on AUDIOZ, several people wrote that someone had all their virtual and work accounts (X YouTube, etc.) closed for using a cracked version
What was that person's story? How did they know?

    use reaper

.....block with firwall app with easy manageable rules like tiny wall or https://www.binisoft.org/wfc
on top ad above entrys to your hosts file
    check back with
    • Run the "cmd" command.
    • Type "netstat -ano" followed by ENTER. ...
    • Search for the port in the "Local Address" column and note down the corresponding "PID".
    • Go to Processes/Services in the Task Manager (for processes, select "Show processes of all users").
    • "Select View\Columns -> Enable PID (Process ID)".

Make sure to disable your "lanman" workstation service, regardless if you are blocking in the hosts.
This service and the telemetry one as well are being used to send third party applications logs to Microsoft and their "third party" partners.

If you read what those "Third Party" Agreements in the documents are you will know to shut this down faster than you can count a new Protools release.

Make sure the Windows 10,11 telemetry service is disabled in group policy.

Other than that is to make a batch to disable/enable your network connection so you can automatically go offline or online depending on which batch you run.
