Luca Pretolesi uses it in a number of recently shared tech house mixing videos. Almost everything is done in Fabfilter plugins anyway.

 

i watched some of his tutorials. hilarious he uses pro q for everything, as he has collab plugins with acustica.

no, but i can ask. I think the rumble thing is more about sound design, rather than any certain DAW. I think resampling is a big part of it. Perhaps reverb on a big thumpy kick, resampled, and cutting out only the reverb tail, then messing with that audio, shaping it using fades, and grouping it together with your kick, apply group compression, saturation, multiband compressor and eq. I have no idea if that's the recipe, but thats my first guess.

 

yes i know that but in ableton its so simple, cant figure it out why in studio one its kinda hard! i create another audio track only for receiving audio from a vst, to do there the rumble but never get it right !! in ableton i can do it, but i hate ableton workflow, too much robotic

 

Which DAW have you decided on now, or are you working with 2 DAWs? Can you describe in more detail what you're failing at in Studio One?

 

im always on studio one, i have ableton cause this things.. and cause a friend of mine have it and we cant produce at my house...
i found impossible to make the same steps to make a rumble on studio one, like u can on ableton...

the most close i can get its:
Into studio one, send to an audio track the sound from my instrument vst, there (in the audio track) arm the rumble, full reverb, gating... etc... but its not the same.. idk why, its weird

 

You just have to work with Studio longer and more often and also open the help file in Studio and learn a little. In other words, it's helpful to read the manual of things before you use them. Or if you don't understand something, read it up.
