    YES - and here's a little trivia.

When you read a book at night, an educated guess tells me that 99% of the time the light is coming from around you or behind you. I left the 1% for people who are fine with having it shine directly at their eyes.

When you read a book on a computer, a phone or pad the light is shining straight into your eyes, day or night.
I have no idea what doctors say about perpetually reading from these versus a book. Maybe there is no difference to your eyes, I wouldn't know but I still enjoy reading print.

Might not apply to you at all of course, but: obsessive collecting is an addiction to immediate gratification. Actual reading (ie. doing something with those collectibles), making music, research, learning, programming [..] is all slow-pay off stuff. An unfortunate side effect of excessive exposure to "the internet" (dopamine vs serotonin). Does happen to older individuals more frequently/severely. Sometimes you have to pinch yourself, detox and make yourself do the stuff you used to like doing, even if right at this moment it doesn't feel like those things could be fun again.
