What is your attitude towards keyboard shortcuts in the apps you use every day?
    - Do you do with the default shortcuts?
    - Do you create your own by mnemonic or logical means?
    - Are you fixing them once and for all?
    - Do you constantly change them because you are always trying to find the perfect ones at the risk of forgetting the previous ones?
    - Or is it just a foolish hobby that only concerns me?

I'm a keyboard person, so, yea, I love my shortcuts. I tend to keep all my shortcuts the same across the board: OS, DAWs, apps, etc.

I use them all the time. I try to use default ones wherever possible. I almost never change them just to make some different shortcut.

Keyboard Maestro on Mac is similar to vba macros. I usually only end up creating them for repeat use tasks. Not in the DAW, and nothing like the stuff you can do in MS Access or Excel. The elaborate vba macros you can create have little importance for audio. That is why we have batch processing.

Yes, a lot. Anything that I need to do frequently is better served with a keyboard shortcut (or a controller).

If I'm doing something graphical (like editing audio, doing Reaktor or Max/MSP) then I've got the extra buttons on my mouse mapped to shortcuts so I don't have to reach for the keyboard constantly (well, the one that require intricate keystrokes/chords anyway).

I've lost count how many scripts in AutoHotKey I have, but who cares, it's application dependent so it's all good.

I try to use them to the utmost possible, they really save a lot of time.

    - Mostly i use them to navigate complex tasks that require a lot of handling, for example, in my browser i use Ctrl + W a lot to close tabs, or Ctrl+Tab to quickly switch between them, when i'm working, reading or doing some multitasking, it's easier on the hands than moving the mouse all the time. In my DAW i use a lot of macros to streamline workflows, in mastering i do a lot of normalization, quick FX chain apply, and so on.
    - Logical, in my case, mnemonic rules over-complicate things
    - I'm not sure if i understand what you mean here
    - With some of them, yeah. Other ones are simply what'll work 90% of the time, if you have to play twister with your fingers to get something done, it lacks the benefit of a shortcut
    - I think it's a valid question, and it's good to analyze others approach.

Sorry if it's a very literal response
