My option is not on the list, i just learn on the go, never really spent time/dedicated time to learn. Usually i end up in some rut, and try to figure out a way. That has become a norm for me these days. And the time taken for sorting out is minimized day after day. Internet helps most times and user manuals too.

I don't have too much time for myself, rather I am fighting for survival here
In my free time I developed new sounds for the Independence sampler, it gives me joy
I even started to composing, but I still don't have enough time :dunno:

im planning on committing some serious crimes so I can have a lot of me time to learn Melodyne
hope the judge lets me have my nearfield monitors in my cell...

I'm leaning towards trying to mail a watermelon with foodstamps, I think thats a non-violent federal crime,
but if anybody is a lawyer let me know what you think.....

Always. At my age, I'm not out playing gigs anymore but music is still my life regardless. I make time for it if I have to.

If you do that with a watermelon they'll brand you a terrorist (look up the watermelon flag thing, for real) and dump you in a black site without even ear buds, bud. It would better to do it with perhaps another alternate, neutral melon like a nice honeydew, dude!

    In your heart.
Twelve years in the world of audio music, i learn a Lot, from all type of sinthesis, circuits in model gear, how they work, for what specific task is that thing, everything you can imagine but never ever make a song for me, beside of that i do mix and master for friends and fun, but i like a lot make all my sounds (for all vsti that i have). i started in the 'boom" of EDM (2009, at least for me), and the time was pasing and i became a colector of instruments and procesors, because i like to play all those stuffs in free time, at least for real sampled instruments like Pipe organs, strings, ethnic instruments etc etc, and the time i don't wanna play and i hear a sound, i spend the time recreating. Maybe one day make my own music.

When I learn something, I convince myself it'll also be useful for work at some point.
When I work on something and it ends up being a dead-end, I convince myself that at least I learned .. something.

How else does one justify these working hours?

Anyway, the difference between the two can be pretty fluid.

In 5 days and 11 hours I'm in early retirement. I should have plenty time then. But unfotunately I've heard that pensionists are the people with least time and really hard to contact

But fun aside: I've been a kind of a loner all my life - even though I have a family - so I've always had plenty of time (~10 hours work, 8 hours sleep, 6 hours spare time including eating, socialising and sports) for myself when I wanted to.
You just have to choose for yourself what's important to you, then you'll have time for it.
Learning was always very important for me, so I stuctured my spare time accordingly.

on further consideration, a honeydew would probably be more suited to purpose as they are much easier to push through a mail slot. Though they are out of season right now since most are grown in greeenhouse in greenland due to tax subsidies. I'm thinking of mailing myself a pizza in case I get hungry in a few days.

thanks all for your help in regards this troublesome matter, lets get back to makin some real music eh???
