Simple question. Sorry, new to this.

For example, something like Addictive Drums has a ton of parts. I've noticed a lot of the time I just have to extract part 1 and it works?

All the parts must be downloaded.


The first part contains the table of content of all the pack (and the first archived files of the pack). That's why you must trigger the extraction of only the part one (because it is it and only it which contains the table of content of al the pack). All the rest is extracted automatically.


All the parts must therefore be downloaded, placed in the same directory, and not renamed. You trigger the extraction only on the first one to extract all the pack which is spread in all the parts.

 

Don't delete the thread. It can be useful for others in the future, and for silent persons who may wonder the same question and don't dare to ask it.

I know for sure this thread will be useful for others. I had exactly the same question as OP as a total newbie to this here and Sister Site in 2017. I don't know how many treasures I've unpacked since I learned RAR!

 

Maybe try rar extractor for mac
with the help of Commander One.
