Do I have less problems with bitminers when I get a second notebook only running offline?

    Hi,

    after having serious CPU issues installing several vst's and my DAW, I'm asking wether I wouldn't have the problem with a notebook with no internet connection?
    Is the miner gonna use my CPU anyways and do these miners/malware even work when not connected to the internet?

    I used only legit r2r downloads I guess.

    Why don't you just try to remove the miner or format the computer and start fresh? And if you do, remember to only get your vsts from the sister site. No real r2r release has any miners in them so you must have dl it from somewhere else. There's alot of fishy sites out there that repacks r2r releases with malware so stay away from those sites.

    @The Pirate answers:

    Yes, if you continue to download from untrustworthy sources your new laptop sooner or later will suffer the same fate.
