    Hi all,

    TL;DR:
I'm looking to finally get a proper studio desk on a tight budget for my home studio. I use it mainly for production and mixing. Should accomedate an 88 keyboard, 27" screen and two small speakers. Not longer than 1600mm. Mainly looking for plans and measurements and also any other suggestions.

    Detailed:
A generous neighbour, an industrial carpenter, offered to cut me whatever wooden plates I need. So I'm very lucky on that front. I have very little experience with building by myself so am looking for ready-made plans to follow.

    Needs:
    - 88 keyboard drawer.
    - have my legs not hit the drawer from underneath.
    - 32 key misi controller.
    - 27" screen.
    - 2 small speakers.
    - Max length: Preferably 1600mm but I'm flexible.
    - width: Preferably~750mm but anywhere above 900mm would probably be too much currently.
    - No rack gear ATM.

    Likes:
    - Minimalistic, natural, modern style.
    - Preferably can fit nicely with my living, but that's just a bonus.
    - cable management.

Here are a couple of commercial examples:

Would love to hear from your experience as users and builders of desks.

    Have a good one.

Kitchen "tops", you know.. They´re thick enough for weight(you may need to strengthen the table top) and you can pick them up in oak and what ever nice wood and colour you like,
    it´s gonna be heavy though

You don't need plans, make your own from your own imagination  I built my own and used Sketchup Pro to design it all and cost me probably less than $100 all in. It only needed some basic timber, a discounted 2m length kitchen worktop from Ikea, some basic tools, and now have a solid, studio grade desk custom fit to my needs and wants. It was originally in a fairly small spare room converted into a home studio, but is now in a bigger room.

There is the main desk, the main legs being 18U (I think) 19" racks, a pull out for a Komplete Kontrol S49 keyboard, space on top for my Fadeport 8, hardware synths, and also has 2 corner portable 6/7U 19" racks, which is where I have my Accesss Virus Ti2 racked in one and my Model D in the other, which also double up as my monitor speaker 'stands' too. Not got a clear pic on the desk with all the gear, but below may give an idea.

Dudes i just started to work on my room, i'm so excited. I'm on a budget, currently moving shit out that room and cleaning up the place. I have temporary desk, speakers with stands and bass treatment (those are rockwool frontrock 20cm boards lol, but for me it§s a great start) at the ready.

Those plans PeACeY linked are so good i'm considering building it. It will be hard, coz i have not built anything in a loooong time, but i have some friends who can help / give me tips. I hope that i will find a way to have those parts cut by a robot.

I also found plans for acoustic diffuser, but that will be a long way till i need this cherry on top.
