How does it sound?

 

I was expecting somewhat mellow vintage sound but this pultec sounds open and upfront,very precise and powerfull, never cloudy. Love Pultec!

@Pule Man this is really impressive work. Is it really yours? You must be doing this professionally or is it just something part time or hobby? How do they sound vs real? How cost effective are they? Thanks for posting!

 

Thanks! Yes, that's what I made last year for my studio. Electronics is my hoby. It's hard to say how they sound vs orginal because desing has also changed, but they sounds fantastic! I don't use any plugins for cd masters. This is really better and faster. Of course, the price is much smaller than the finished product in store.

Yeah but those are second hand prices and t.b.h not worth it there are soooo many ampbuilders and ampmodders these days that make amps that sound very good and also equally good as the Dumble
The mentioned Kitty Hawk amp in the wiki link was very popular in Europe in the 80,s and you rarely see those second hand so i guess those who bought them kept them..

I've been interrested in building my own amp for a long time there are "kits" available i might start with one of those when i got some time my first d.i.y project is to build myself a tele this summer as it is one of those "types" of guitar that i miss most in my collection i had one some years ago but it was stolen i also want an SG, V, Archtop, 335, and a PRS style guitar and maybe some others aswell to complete my collection ..
