Hello ppl, so, this week I was about to release an album at Routenote and I faced problems that I never have ever faced before, they literally got my album all stuck and I had to drop it until 3rd of this month (tomorrow), so I had no time to wait them to answer me.

A friend of mine who I produce was using distrokid for a long time so I runned to it, everything was fine, I paid the subcription uploaded the songs and all seens ok, but in the next day (yesterday) they just notified me the following message about ytb ID:

"We had a problem charging your card $14.95 for album extras you opted into. To keep your music in stores, update your card here."

At first, I was thinking "ok, this is fine, maybe some bug or bank problem", so I updated the payment form and got sure that my card had enough money to pay the U$D 14,95. So I tried again, but in 30min I received again the same message

As the day goes I tried 5 different cards from 4 different banks and none of them worked, every of them had more than the needed value and 3 of them got charged from 1U$D and then refounded instatly, I think it was a test to see if the card was working...

I contacted the support but no answer untill now, I really need to release this album the soonest possible, but now, I cant even try to upload again, because even in the upload page I get this message telling me to update my card, that makes no sense because my card was sucessfully used to pay the subscription, I have more than 100U$D on it, I cant figure out why is this happening, I even contacted my bank and they said that there they not even tried to charge the 14,95, can somoeone help me?

Maybe it's not processing as the same card .. but the best way to get in contact with them is through twitter DM , they reply pretty quick .... also what did ya'll do to promote .. my artist name is Tray Samuels & I've been trying different marketing tactics .

 

I'd say that for marketing: Organic public is life, I happened to be lucky enough to get in touch with an already grown artist, so I cant say much about it...

But I can asure you that if you use TikTok or Instagram (presuming that your songs are dancy or groovy) you can EASILY get some big numbers
This track that I mentioned before just blow'd up on tiktok after a girl did a tiktok video with it, and the artist was almost full unknown until this happens

Growing alone is almost impossible, pretty hard, I'd never recommend it. Whenever you can get in touch with anyone who can reach more people that like the same genre that you produce id HIGHLY recommend you to do it, be it a collab a song (produce) or a feat
