A capitalist is a capitalist is a capitalist and breaking even isn't an option even though they have long hair and might have facilitated the making of the awesome Tubular Bells. Branson is near at the apex of the feeding frenzy of the system that currently shapes the world and as such reaps special benefit and opportunity not reserved for even multi-multimillionaire middle management. He isn't your friend and he isn't mine, profit is.

Anyway, thanks for replying. I live in the UK and I've known many people, from many backgrounds, who lived through that period of time, including members of my own family, sadly losing one recently at the grand age of 93. The assertion that "nobody remembers because none of us lived through it" is not currently accurate, nor does it make sense in terms of any historical event, let alone something as vast and recent as WWII.

Even though I appreciate you were being philosophical with the first sentence in the initial post, I asked the question to confirm that is what your were referring to. I see no harm in clarifying discussions by asking questions, in fact it's essential to constructive dialogue imo.
