Yo guys,

I´ve been coming back to this techno track for some time now. Both versions are louder than my last "final" that i sent to a label which gave thumbs up but i was like "naah" , i need to master this or something..

There is something in the track that i really like, but the bloody thing does not have stems, it was live recorded. Not much room to work with.

Goal was to make it dirty and not "spiky", but it ended up really interesting in the highs so i made two versions. One is more "stereo", the other is more oldschool and raw.






Whats your thoughts on these?Which one or if any

Both sound interesting. But the second despite winning estero field. I feel that the bass (bass and kick) make a kind of compression pulling the music back on each hit.

They sound good. The first one has a beat or edit error at 2:53/2:54 should you care.

@Ryck - yeah, idea was to have separate sidechain levels after each kick, almost made it but with a damage taken..i really dont like sidechaining for some reason tho..stopped using it since than. thx and cheers!

I´ll probably try to cut some low end and push it more, clipp it, make it a bit louder.

 

I think that would be a good idea.
