Pretty good news. Imagine a fantasy channel strip with a Massive and Nu/Vari compressor by Brainworx... god, I wish.

Ye, that guy is back but when you scroll down, you see "with the help of InMusic" and
InMusic currently buys every audio software company they get their hands on, like Native Instruments,
Denon DJ, Moog, M-Audio, Akai, AIR Music, etc.

If they somehow manage to go bankrupt in the future, all those brands are at risk at once.
Monopolism isn't the best strategy.

 

First thing I did was sign up for their newsletter. Maybe Dirk's gonna bring back the Mega Sale Mega Freebies.

That's Native Instruments the previous owners policy. Native Instruments were sold to another music company with no background in software. Along with IZotope, they were previously owned by a venture capital company that changed policies inc. pricing. Other plugin companies owned by venture capital company are SSL, Slate Digital & Harrison.

 

They are licensed to UAD, Dirk said recently he's not changing that. A mastering engineer told that he couldn't tell the difference between the plugin & the hardware, not sure about the Vari Mu, I haven't heard one UAD compressor I like.

Private equity will squeeze out every penny and when the company has lost all good will even from the most loyal customers they will drop it like a hot potato. Having private equity near your softwware company is an enshitification speedrun on TAS levels.

 

Still waiting for announcement of updated product line for Apogee. Tossed hardware products that never really made sense and.or were just lacking. The same for software along with refined/updated code for software that will make for a more meaningful user experience & perceived value for money.
