It might be about just Kontakt, I'm not sure. So, excuse me if I started the topic in wrong section.

I'm using kontakt 5 on studio one. For example, I open 3 tracks and I can use 3 different libraries(instruments) in the same time. I use the same output, different midi channels. My soundcard is on board so I have only one output.
When I wanna add fx(or vst) for one of my tracks, it'll be added to all 3 tracks(to all kontakt libraries) and it's useless. If I use kontakt for other instruments and kontakt 8out for the one I want to add fx in, there's no problem. Still that's very restrictive for me. I have to open a new kontakt window for every fx.

Is there a way to use fx (or vst) only for one midi channel? Or do I have to buy a sound card for different outputs?

Hm? You can use the effect on the output track, not the one holding Kontakt. And you can make "fake"/virtual outputs inside Kontakt (3+4, 5+6 etc.) and not use its master channel ("Main") output when adding its own effects.

There are numerous tutorials on this:

Thank you very much man. I did it. I also found this tutorial for S1, after I read your message. I was missing some little clicks.
