Changelog for FL21 doesn't say protection updated. Last Protection Update was on FL 20.9.

 

Maybe its wiser to not mention something like that, if a user doesn't need to know of it?

 

Normally they do as in 20.9, because you needed to redownload License File. If they do not mention it there can't be that much of a change, because this would piss off regular User.

 

Because that was a change that needed the the user to be informed. The user themselves need to re-DL the license file. If there's some big change internally that doesn't affect the user anyway and they announce it, it will only benefit the scene.

 

I Think the smallest Problem for the Teams is to find out which protection a Software uses (They seen most of the Protections available already) Bigger Issue is that somebody supplies valid License File and to find out what has been added to the Protection. Most of the Developers do not use the Protection accurate like Lennard does with Sylenth1. R2R gives us often nice infos about that which i really like. Also many Releases from R2R run way smoother and faster than the Original, because faulty Protection are slowing them down. So there is the Point that Developers can learn something from the Teams.
