Hey guys,

I had the R2R version of Seventh Heaven installed.
but after noticing it has issues, I decided to buy the real product.

But for some reason Pro Tools is scanning and accepting the plugin,
but after opening a project, it's not showing up in my plugin list..

I'm assuming there are some leftover R2R traces that are interfering with the Legit version.

I'm on windows 11, pro tools 12 audioutopia (I have a bunch of other legit plugins that are also ilok and working fine)

anyone who can help me, I will send them a nice donation.

You should manually go to the locations to be sure. 3rd party uninstallers aren't any better on the whole than windows removal they're just more convenient for some actions, particularly in the case of cracked software (though r2r is generally pretty good about maintaining associations).

programdata/liquidsonics,
appdata/roaming/liquidsonics,
appdata/local/liquidsonics

Those are generally the 3 directories that will have traces of something left.

Look in the registry as well for 'liquid sonics' in hkey/local_machine

 

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I checked all those folders and deleted everything + I found 1 liquidsonics folder in registry and deleted that one as well, but still no luck.

I've been trying to figure this one out for two days now. I can open the VST3 version of the plugin through Patchwork, but the AAX isn't showing up on ProTools, I can see it passing the scanning/loading screen when starting ProTools, and it passes the verification fine there. But it won't show up in my plugin list for some reason..

 

Also just tried Revo Uninstaller, still no luck :/

 

For clarity on that timeline... you found the reg entry just now or previous to this? If now, did you then uninstall legit too, full shut down (not reset), stare at the wall for a few seconds humming a distant memory as you lose yourself to a different time... a different life...then, boot, and reinstall?

 

Yes I found it after you guys mentioned it.

so what I did was; I uninstalled the legit one with Revo, then because revo couldnt find the R2R version, I reinstalled that, then selected it with Revo so it knows the location of everything, deleted everything including scanning for Reg files etc. then I restarted my pc and installed legit version again, no luck.

I will try it again but this time ill full shut down and wait a minute.

maybe you could use RegWorkshop to search for registry related to LiquidSonics

 

Just tried RegWorkshop, a bunch more registries showed up. Not all of them seemed to be related to LiquidSonics / Seventh Heaven though.. I deleted all the ones that mentioned LiquidSonics / Seventh Heaven, restarted the system and tried reinstalling it again,

but again, no luck..

 

I don't personally think it's an issue with the previous one you had, because those cracks are usually very straightforward to remove. If you removed them, there's a good chance it got removed.

I suggest loading up a different DAW and seeing if it finds the plugin. A lightweight VST host can also do the job. Also, have you checked if Pro Tools has a blacklist? Usually, at least on Studio One, when a plugin is scanned (you can even see it being scanned during startup) but it disappears from the list, there's a good chance it went into the blacklist. I also had a case where an instrument VST3 was wrongly categorized as an effect, so maybe check your instruments list just in case to see if the inverse happened to you.

 

Maybe you shouldn't assume this to be the case?

Whilst it is a possibility, have you also considered the legit version might not be compatible with Pro Tools 12? After all, it IS 10 years old.

Are all new AAX plugins compatible with version 12 of Pro Tools.. It waffled on, but said NO, NOT all are.

I am starting to think as well that it has nothing to do with R2R..

The thing is, I can open the Plugin without a problem in Pro Tools when I use BC Patchwork (It's a VST host)..
The plugin shows up fine there, and I can use the VST3-Seventh Heaven without a problem.. It just doesn't want to load the AAX version.
It doesn't appear in my AAX plugin list.

Is it possible that only the AAX version got blacklisted ?

In my iLok it shows that everything is fine and my license is active..

 

Seventh Heaven is compatible with Pro Tools 12, my friend runs it on his PT12

 

Is your version of 7th heaven the same though? Just one new update could cause a compatibility issue in software 10 years old

 

I'm not on Pro Tools so I can't give you a clear answer on Pro Tools, but based on my 10+ years on Studio One, it's entirely possible that only a single version of the plugin gets blacklisted. What really makes it blacklist the plugin I can't tell you, but I know Studio One allows you to reset the blacklist and usually the plugin comes up. Maybe see if you can reset the blacklist on Pro Tools.
