Everything here is free and always on the master for metering.
(I prefer this combination over Izotope Insight 2 which is €219,00)

You can easily switch from Scyllascope to Youlean loudness and true peak histograms.
(Dynamic not available in the free version)

    Youlean (loudness meter)

    Check (mono compatibility)

    Scyllascope (oscilloscope)

    Prism (spectral analyser)

There are some free gems out there, it just take some time to curate them.
I certainly won't delete any of them and have yet to come across a better paid alternative.
(not that I would pay for it anyways)

An actual advice : Stop watching plugin Youtubers.

Youtubers are not people of recognized expertise. They may provoke reflections (for better or worse), but they should not be mistaken for specialists.
The most problematic point is that today anyone can have a platform for their ideas (as Warhol anticipated when he said that "everyone will have the right to be world-famous for 15 minutes").
More serious still is the trust that some of us end up placing, often assiduously, in people who are not experts, who live off clicks and baits, and who are often sponsored by companies.
Be careful not to turn opinion/engagement into authority!

I believe many YouTube viewers neither think for themselves nor exercise sufficient critical judgment. Many are also subject to peer pressure; feeling insecure, they simply follow the crowd. A dangerous situation arises when people fear social exclusion, leading them to go along with things even when they know it’s wrong. You could also say that no one wants to hear the truth.

Point of video isn't to literally delete all your free plugins, but to stop hoarding them, curate your arsenal, master the tools you use and etc, so noting unheard of at this point and pretty much what most pro's are huge advocates for too. :dunno:

For me the problem is the clickbait title, as so often happens.
Perhaps it's the best video ever but I'm not watching it
