    Hey everyone,

I'm not sure how you sort out a group buy or whatever but I wondered if anyone was interested in maybe putting something together to get this awesome library? It sounds amazing and who doesn't love Olafur's sound?

Let me know what you all think!

    Pete

DUDE I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET A GROUP STARTED FOR THIS CONCEPT, we should work together. My idea was to start a Facebook group where we communicate and share links with what we should buy and who is willing to chip in. Next, make a dropbox, onedrive or google drive, or even mail usb flash drives (that are very cheap) to those whom chipped in. it was very simple. the money situation would be, a google wallet card that would be linked up to facebook's money sharing system, and the pay will be divided for equal pitch-ins, and then buy the instrument. So in summary:

    -Facebook Group
    -Members **(that can be trusted)**
    -Google Wallet
    -Facebook Money Transfer
    -Buy Instrument
-Share the Link with the Cloud (or mail USB Mini flash sticks to addresses)

That's my approach but if you have a better plan do share because I'm totally in, and you can trust me because I always wanted to do this lol

My only problem was getting members to get to join

What's up fellas. I'd be down to help out with these group buys. I think the fb group is a good idea so we can kind of get to know each other. Let me know, count me in.

I would probably be interested in a group buy, although I can't contribute much since right now I'm poor as hell.

I don't know if it's a good idea to have a group (even on private) that talks about the exploits of buying software and illegally sharing it

there's gotta be another way, maybe SAINT has a way to hold onto the $ the same way he does donations? idk, but this is a great product

DesoloZ, he said MAYBE SAiNT have some idea how this could be handled...

I agree with Strangelove this needs to be handled in a very, very professional way. Because I would not trust you with my money and absolutely my identity. So we need a middleman.

I don't see what the problem is with group buy. If you and 5 of your mates want to buy a library and use it, what's the issue?

The "real" or legal group buy is something different. It means for example when 10 people want to buy a product, they are all given a discount when they buy 10 copies (1 for each) The group buy where 10 people buy one copy of the product and share it, that is not something that the manufacturer allows.

I'd have thought if the sale wasn't for commercial use the company would appreciate a purchase. Most of us on minimum wage jobs who just make music for our own pleasure can't shell out $400 every time a new library comes out, we want to support the scene but it's not always practical.

There was a similar situation elsewhere, someone bought a library from them, together with a few other users, and had been posting about sharing. After he had paid, he started the download, and it got interrupted, so he wondering what had happened. turns out they had been reading that thread, and banned him from their system, after he paid. He could not even open their website from his IP. His questions to support went unaswered for a while, until he got a message saying he was encouraging piracy.

So this kind of thing should not be discussed publicly. like Fight Club :)
