    Hey guys,

I have a strange problem with the Ample Sound Guitar plugins in Ableton.
Especially when I use the strum mode (which I really like) I always have an obvious and hearable delay. It somehow doesn`t fit although the bpm and everything is corretly in the Ample Sound plugin.
Anybody having the same issues or know a solution? Would really appreciate it.

    Thanks

Same problem works like a charm on studio one. Maybe ableton pdc sucks. Have you tried tweak the "start" knob from 0 to 50 ms?? Chech it out on the main interface. Good luck

    Hi Ceja,
In Ableton display the delay compensation per track, select your Ample Sound track and put value -50 ms.

Little tips to check your latency with other Vsti:
-freeze the track with the suspect Vsti ;)
    -create a new audio track
-drag and drop the frozen one o the new one
-see the latency in ms: the space at the begining
(there is an option to select by sample or by ms)
    -adjust delay comp per track

In all Ample Sound lib: -50 ms

PDC in Ableton is another problem...

Actually, the right fix is by turning the start knob from 0 to 50ms as Mostwest said, they even mention it in the manual.

    @Evorax
Yes but the right fix for Ample guitar Libs in Ableton is -50 ms (minus 50)
Tape this exact value in track delay compensation on the midi channel of any Ample Guit lib...
I spent time to have Ample Guitar perfectly synced with Ableton :mates:

    Hey guys,

thanks so much for your help!
Both methods seem to work, I have to test it in more detail but the first impression seems that it is now on beat.
    Awesome, thanks!!

Btw which Guitar do you prefer for strumming as well as picking? Ample Sound seems like a good combination.
Real Guitar has a bit of a "thin" sound I think, and the Efimov Guitars have some nice features, but not as much as Ample Sound. What do you think?

You should definetely check out the new Vir2 Acou6tics. I underestimated this library, i said "what the hack is this joke?" but after i checked it in depth, it made me drop Ample Sound for it :wow: . The strumming requires a more complex approach :excl: , because you can't set up a sequencer pattern for strumming as Ample Sound do, but you have to PERFORM it, but as soon as you learn it, you'll get great and realistic results with it. I told you, it already made me give up Ample Sound for it. I didn't thought i'm gonna find a better guitar library than Ample Sound's ones, but luckly i did.

Thanks for you answer, I also used the Vir2 Guitar a bit and it seems quite interesting.
I just have a strange question :) Could it be, that I also have some kind of delay problem with the Vir2 Guitar? It seems to me that it is also a bit delayed compared to the keys, drums and so on. Could this be, and is there also a setting like with the Ample Sound Guitar that I can change?

First of all, what Vir2 Guitar you talking about? "Acou6tics" or "Acoustic Legends HD" ? I want to know if we speak about the same product.
With Acou6tics i have no delay problem, but you can tweak it alot when it's needed. :wow: :mates:
