    Hello everyone,

Recently I've heard this deep sounding FX in a song, that could fit any deep blue movie or videogame. I've heard something similar before, and can't figure out how to reproduce it successfully.

    Here are three examples :

"Loreen - Euphoria" at 1'34 (deep transition FX just before the second verse)

"Dj Bobo - Love Is All Around" at 0'27 'and every following transition, placed just like in Loreen's song)

"Masterboy - Is This The Love", four hits at 0'09 - similar but not as cleen as the two other examples

Sonic CD OST - Tidal Tempest (E)" from the beginning, the one at 0'02 is obvious

I've tried using filtered noise with a big reverb, but the result seems less "complete", not full, not clean enough, the resonance remains unclear, the high frequencies are too crispy : I can say my result basically sounds like filtered noise with reverb...

Thanks in advance for any idea !

Are you sure it's a reverb and not a delay?

Don't you think a delay would produce an unstable tail ? The extinction of the sound seems very linear here, that's why I think there is some kind of long linear reverb, but anyway there's probably an extra delay, you're right about this. Thanks for your answer. :)

Yeah that's right, I've seen your first answer. Actually I wanted to test it, but I've changed my whole hardware a couple of days ago, and I was in big trouble with Cubase (disk overload and sound muting every 2 secondes for 10 seconds appr). I've found the solution now (bad plugin version, Fabfilter was the problem), but had no time to try your suggestion for the moment, that's why I did not answer earlier.
Thanks a million times for your demo, indeed this is very similar. I think I understand what I was missing here : for some reason, I hadn't tried a very percussive sound. Since the sound seems very linear, I was convinced I needed a flatter wave to create the FX, but by listening to your demo it becomes obvious that I need a clap-like sound to begin with. Thanks again, I'm gonna try it as soon as I reinstall all my plugins. :)
