Any suggestions? Some incognito type shit would be nice. SRWare Iron is what I've used in the past, but I don't think it's updated anymore.

well I've ditched chrome for firefox. Firefox actually has better performance than chrome. I think google seriously need to optimize chrome and improve its performance.

I've actually never actively used firefox up until now probably for reasons regarding hype... but now that the hype has died I'm enjoying the browser cuz it maintains the no.1 priority of a simple program; performance.

Personally a browser can be as secure as it wants but if the performance isn't there then it's not that great... like I still enjoy chromes bookmarking system better than firefox as well as its more minimalistic design, but when I am using it on weaker office computers it tends to take much more time to respond...

Tails OS with TOR browser: https://tails.boum.org/about/index.en.html <-- nothing can make you more "incognito" than this.
Seamonkey and Palemoon browsers are great Firefox forks.Seamonkey comes with e-mail client.
Iceweasel is Firefox ESR fork that comes with Debian Linux. <-- I generally use this

Anonymous browsing with Windows you ask?
    Cheers! :mates:

Tor is good, too; along with a WiFi MAC spoofer and a VPN, you're cloaked in secrecy.

Otherwise, try locking-down Firefox with AdBlock Plus and Ghostery extensions; set Firefox not to allow tracking/not permit third-party cookies/remember no passwords/suggest no URLs/clear all history and cache upon closing/all that other paranoid stuff. AdBlock Plus and Ghostery will kill a lot of processes and pop-unders which slow the browser down (and annoy the shit outa you), too.

    Netscape Navigator.

But really, what stevitch says, you can make Firefox pretty tight with the right add-ons.

but stay with Firefox and privacy oriented add-ons.

Firefox is worse on RAM. Chrome on CPU (only by 2-3%), but still feels lighter. My own tests.
I also used Firefox for many years before Chrome came.

Firefox need to optimize the RAM usage. Also they will implement new security feature soon that will decrease performance by 1-4%. (source: http://www.ghacks.net/2016/01/04/mozilla-enables-wx-in-firefox-46-to-improve-security/)

Chrome is a joke, Google assumes it's user dumb, and controlled; many advanced settings not even available.
Let aside the mobile market with no add-ons... such a disgrace.

I can give Chrome credit for only one thing: integrated flash player for Linux.

but remember! their stolen Android OS is also Linux
    makes sense now?
