I already posted this track but wanted to post it again because 56 seconds into the track the guitarist plays these demented goat screams on his guitar somehow. It's not a traditional bend I don't think, it could possibly be some variation of palm harmonics with a different pinch+pick technique like how they make those distorted metal screams happen. But the tone bends and oscillates, its fucking insane sounding.

Harmonics happen because you muted the string on the pick attack canceling out the sustain but you let go of your mute right as the note is releasing to pass the harmonic of the note through but not the full tone so then how the fuck do you bend that afterwards? Does he do a harmonic pinch scream and then goes right back in to bend it?

That's all I could imagine it to be but I'm probably wrong. If anyone knows how to accomplish this, do let me know because I've never heard anything like it done on guitar before. Makes no god damn sense in my little fucking pea brain, how can you get a distorted harmonic scream with a fucking bend?! I don't get it!

I am too! How can you not be?! Those dudes single-handedly made Death Metal history which gave us everything else! Is this a show you were at recently with this Death tribute band? I wish there was a higher quality recording.

I actually encountered a dude this week who is by all means someone like me that appreciates basically all forms of metal who said he can't stand Death and named their band specifically but... I just didn't get it. :dunno:

Even if you don't like their sound today, you could at least appreciate them for being a piece of history that birthed a whole movement in metal.

Oh shiiit! I hadn't considered a Floyd Rose at all! I did briefly think it could be some modulation fx set to 16th or 32nd notes but blew it off because all Cannibal Corpse does is gig live but then again who knows what he's got on his pedal.

As far as I can tell, I think Marduk is black metal with more emphasis on black than death in this track but still I like Marduk so I'll give it a pass because they are heavy as fuck without the lofi black metal production pressed on cassette tape from a distance lol. There really aren't that many blackened death metal bands but when there is, they do it right.

Belphegor for instance nails that sound in a way that tickles me fancy. Behemoth too for that matter.

Petting my cat and listening to Nile. Life goot.
Fun fact, my cat is better than most of the people I ever met.

So this is @Ghaleon777 project, I'm not sure if it's his band or he is the one man band man. Either way I find it impressive and think everyone else should check out some of his kick ass Goregrind!

He said he's inspired by Napalm Death and this project linked below.

I have to agree that the resemblance is uncanny. Great job man! I didn't want to take up any more room in your thread because you opened it for technical advice but wanted to promote your work because I found it pretty amazing!

This is in my opinion, the BEST GRINDCORE release of ALL TIME... No actual band can put the same amount of energy. No "ultra fast drummer", "high technical guitar riffs" shit can do what this album did, wish i was born during that era to feel how Grindcore was finally born, with the legendary album "Scum" marking what the genre would become... From Enslavement To Obliteration is REAL Grindcore!

I LOVE Napalm Death and eat up all of their albums thought my favorite is definitely "Scum"

I'm sure you know already but they dropped a couple of singles within the last few months so I'm impatiently waiting for their new album. I also agree with you that they don't try to flex any special side to them or try to impress you, they just make straight forward badass Death Metal. Which I appreciate a lot!

I read somewhere on the board that you aren't much a fan of solos and I tend to agree to a certain extent or at the very least I just don't like something that's too solo heavy but don't mind a couple good leads here and there. I just don't enjoy the wankfest shredders tend to do in front of a combo amp at Guitar Center without their headphones lol
