80% of plugins on the market are low grade trash.

More developers join the "sport" each day and the field has been infiltrated by capitalist scum.

"It's all 100% anolog feel bro, mix WITH OUR emulation TO SOUND "like" a real pro....
OUR plugins are SO AUTHENTIC you can "BELIEVE" like IT IS really working.
jUST PAY $800!!!!!!!!!! WILL THAT BE PAYPAL OR VISA???????????????

    ENOUGH smoke and mirrors!
    ENOUGH hype and spin!
ENOUGH claims to be identical to ANALOG hardware!
ENOUGH paid endorsements by top engineers!
ENOUGH LIES in the software industry!

    GIVE US THE TRUTH!

ABOUT WHAT theory is behind the application.
ABOUT WHAT it is doing to OUR signal.

it is NO LONGER acceptable to retain information from the audio engineering industry.
AND simply say HERE is a COOL plugin we made IT SOUNDS GREAT hope YOU like it.

i agree to some point, however there are free vst-analyzers out there so that you can check what it does to your signal.

    Agree with @Splicementality .
I allways check out with analyzer tools what a plugin I am interested in does to the signal and I allways compare this informations to other plugins/hardware i like/have.

Example... last thing i checked out was waves omni channel. The compressor section - let`s pick the FET compressor here for example. It has a really low amount of harmonic distortion (or how some like to say colour) compared to other FETs like overlouds comp76 or slate`s 1176 emulations or my hardware clone 1176. (Only comapred it to this 2 VSTs i bet there are many more colourfull FET vsts out there)
I dont want to judge this here. But i know now that the channel can not replace vsts or hardware in my workflow.

    d.i.y.

There blind test all over the internet.

Like the FG-Stress we tested in one studio here..
They have 1 pair of distressor.

Hardware 1 sounds exactly like the software.
    Hardware 2 not so much..

The difference between the 2 hardwares was more noticeable than the Software and Hardware 2.

Its not actual hardware they modelled but as all hardware sounds different, hardware 1 was close.. we could adjust the attack and release of hardware 2 to match it exactly too.. they just have some different specs

    sorry! i was joking :)
i know that two hardwares of the same version can never be the same, simply put, it's hard to make an element stable enough.

Once again : market saturation and profit rate ratio going downhill.
    Making more, with less value.
The more capitalism will die, the more you will see useless c*nts making useless plugs with bullsh*t claims.
They will dissolve innovation and creation.

And trust me, i'm in the music making/internet for enough time to see this trend going TOTALLY out of control. Since the beginning, in fact :D
Each week, there is a new dev and new generic USELESS and PAID plugs (EQ,comp,delays...). This trend started only a few years ago.
They want you to pay for generic/open source code put under a nice GUI. That's all.

    On the other side :
Acustica Audio (REAL innovators) are under rated.
digitalfishphones made FREE plugins still kicking. They were made in 2004 ... lol
TSE, Ignite Amps, Lepou ... make FREE amazing plugs for guitar. But you still see crappy PAID virtual amps sounding like a 0.5W transistor radio.
    ...

The only solution is TRYING those plugs and using your EARS. You don't ear anything special ?
So just use freewares and what you have.
Everything else is just marketing and market saturation.

In 99% situations, you don't need them. Just jBridge and some old x86 freewares :D

Lets say that im new in the music production (I'm still learning, who cares) I have dreams and hopes that one day I will hit the charts in my mind with a cool track or album e.t.c ,so I begin to try plugins and what suits to my projects yeah? First I will spend a lot of time to search the right plugin, there are so many right now, second I will spend a lot of money buying if I want to be legit, just for one part of music production, sundently I realize that I will never be like the ones who inspiring me and I will not be as good as they are, almost spend money and time for what reason? developers and market took all the" money " while I was going to conquer the Rome and probably I defeated lol!
Well there is other option that I win the battle yeah
There are not all developers in the same bag.

Is like: Source-middlemen-destination obviously im the destination.

Limp but overhyped plugins are the least of my worries...but most are easy to assess via try before you buy at our forum's parent site.

You should probably stay away from ads of all kinds for reasons of sanity.:guru::bleh:
If you reached that kind of opinion, maybe you should also overthink your goal.

What do you need plugins for? You certainly not need the 80% Cr@p plugins you mentioned. Why don't you simply stick with the 20 percent? Or weren't you able to pick out the right 20%? If so, I'd say you are in a great place here, with lot's of members sharing knowledge. We are here for ya bud. :mates:
