For those who have trouble installing it.

Please download and install ilok from ilok website. Create an account and run ilok software you have just installed. Login, keep it running in the background.
Now install Xpand 2. It will ask serial number. Type or copy/paste it.
At the end of installation it will also ask where to store the license, press 'store on hd'. You might need to press it several times (irresponsive for some reason) and wait. Finally it will confirm that installation is successful. Sign out off ilok as well. That's it.

Thanks to @Von_Steyr I was able to install it correctly.

 

In that case I'll keep using AudioUTOPiA version.

Thanks ed-enam for your infos regarding the install! I guess I´ll do as DiM.... simply stay with the cracked version!!

Note: Selling this as it wasn´t iLok protected is pretty much cheating IMHO .... "no iLok need"

Just installed this and Im really glad I´ve got it cheap.
It´s not that interesting at all .... IMHO!

But what the h***....... one british pound will not exactly ruin you

 

No problem @phloopy , my pleasure. And you are right, I was, at first, inclined to buy it because there was no ilok involved as per the information on the website. This is not a good strategy to promote a dying product.

I don't think the sound bank is that bad at all. If it was for, say 100-150 pounds, the sounds would have been inspiring may be. Psychology plays a vital role everywhere. Like Zebra and even Omnisphere, many sounds might not be of much use but there ARE some very nice sounding patches. What I like about it is old age type of layering on go, still very less cpu usage and good for sketching. But I didn't find individual outputs. Still for 1 pound at least I am ok with it.

 

Ah okay! Will decide before everything ends because I'm still a bit uncertain about having too much new stuff at once. I'm more of a 'stick to a shortlist of tools/synths etc. and explore those from A to Z' instead of having too much too choose from and get lost.

Well they just sent me the serial number, so I guess the iLok account is not necessary.

 

Its a smart business movie.
They offer their whole pack for 50% less if you have already bought at least one of their products(if im not mistaken).
Plus people get registered there,many people that is and this means potential customers.
Also in case they sold 5-10k synths (which is a possibility)they have earned 5-10k dollars,which is probably more than if they sold it for 80$ since very few people actually still buy this synth.

I made my decision > AIR Music Producer Pack & Xpand!2 it is.
Not that I'll use Xpand!2 immediately but hey, for that price
Now let's play with all those creative Fx toys

 

Great price though installing the true ILOk will most likely break other plugins.
If software was priced like this the 3 million ppl who use it would defiantly buy it.
So the company make close to 2 million not to bad to me.
That is minus 1 million for business expenses.
