I was watching this livestream by deadmau5 where he was messing about with some samples from his track "Are You Not Afraid? ft. Shotty Horroh"(the choir "ahhhh" sample in the intro", when he entered another folder from his Ableton browser and started playing back some other Hip-Hop samples, probably some of the coolest Hip-Hop samples I've ever heard. I've heard him use some of them in other tracks he's produced, like this (the marimba loop), and I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what sample pack he's using here, or if they've ever heard these samples used anywhere before? I'd really like to get my hands on samples like this, and I can tell that most of them sound like they've been taken straight out of old records, but they appear to be in more of a sample pack format here. Perhaps deadmau5 did cut these straight from old records himself, but maybe not?

I've heard similar Hip-Hop samples from Samplephonics, but just not quite like this.
The samples he's using just seem so song-ready, and he's used some of them without changing a thing in some of his best Hip-Hop tracks.

    Thanks.

They might be hand-picked. I know when I go through new libraries I delete the stuff i don't like and sort the good stuff into subfolders

random: one of those samples was used in B-Boy Document '99

Yeah, that's very possible. If that's the case, hopefully someone has heard some of them before, he plays quite a few.
EDIT: Awesome, I hear that sample in there. Gonna have to research that track's samples now.
Sigh. It looks like they probably have been hand picked, I found the original sample here:
