Don't wanna watch the video, I just wanted to comment how funny it is that Weaver is wrong as often as he is right, but confidence is always the key.

Not saying he is wrong in this case, like I said, I haven't watched it. But I find it real funny how often he says someone is wrong while also being wrong. I like his news videos, though.

    I am not sure about,
But I felt somehow a "clarity" and "dynamic" in Studio One audio mixes than another DAW (used the same VST plugins)

White Sea snake oil Studio ... i just run away.
This kind of ppl just POLLUTE the whole internet with b*llsh*t.

There is no sound difference, as long as 1+1 = 2 on any calculator.
Until of course you add non linearities on purpose (like Harrison Mixbus).

Already lost too much time ... bye i'm out

Every year, one or two false prophets announce the end of the world, yet it never happens.
In the same way, every year some misinformed content creator or audio engineer keeps spreading this nonsense. Yet, when properly matched, renders from different DAWs null perfectly (except Luna and Harrison Mixbus).

He’s not wrong, some of the DAWs mentioned still have the same peculiarities shown in the videos. When it comes to pan law, it can be matched across DAWs; and when it comes to automation, differences are negligible, if they exist at all.

And just for clarity, in the video Weaver is criticizing the people propagating this myth, not condoning.

All this shi... Start whit the Schwabe Digital E-mail... They are pure zeros and ones, they are all identical, but what I can say with 18 years of working in audio is that the workflow alters the perception of each individual and this perception It gives a different sound to each one.

I prefer to input my 1s and 0s manually, that way i avoid any daw coloration and 360° phase frontflip, but to each their own i guess.

yes they sound slightly different. FL Studio sounds plastic. this is a fact
i dont care about your opinion i KNOW they sound different.

reason sounds really good. pro tools sounds good. logic? i never tried that one. studio one is my choice.. mostly because of the fast workflow and simple interface

also hardware sounds better than software. haha

    haha damn yea
for me something changed between sonar x1 and x2/after
suddenly the sampled pianos and stuff had a better sound for whatever reason...i mortally hate putting EQ on pianos
everytime i try a new DAW i do the 'piano check', none has been as good
Reaper sounded especially thin to me
but man, i have never seen the gatekeeping/frothing at the mouth as bad as on anything as this topic
use what you like i guess...cheers!

    "All Daws Sound Different"

Other than a DAW specifically designed to exude an analog flavor, comparing plain old 1's and zeroes between multiple popular DAWs in a controlled benchmark continuously denotes 'Sameness' to a degree. It's been a dead issue for years.

'Secret Sauce' in Pro Tools? All them Grammy's don't lie.

A lusher default soundstage in Bitwig than Cubase? Do you see?

FL Studio makes everything sound better? This is why only the best-of-the-best use it.

Peter Pan-level, make-believe subjevtive fanboy sh*t. Some folks kinda need it to be this way.

I would even go as far and say the mixes are more musical, with a wider stage and better depth.
It's airband is silky and low frequencies come punchy and bone dry.
But this behavior is not out of the box, you have to break it in for several months after installing it to your harddrive.
