Hey, @michaelbrac if you don't agree with @The Pirate's post #15 the appropriate rating is 'disagree' not 'dislike'.

And btw, same goes for @Seckkksee and your post #9.

@michaelbrac Since you disliked the comment I made about the conclusions of a third party that wrote an article you posted, I am requesting an explanation. If you are a believer on what he wrote, and you think pirates and crackers are bad; I don't know what you were doing downloading Omnisphere, asking me for instructions, and requesting that I upload a torrent to ru****er? You should be agreeing with what I wrote and disagreeing with what the author wrote. Seriously bro, what is your position in all of this?

As to my experience I've heard that under these 'circumstances' the whole world behaves strangely. :chilling: [IMG]

Im just sitting here wondering... how did you get a trojan or a miner? did you not even pay attention to file sizes? Im no genius but that's usually a dead giveaway and you can more or less eyeball the file sizes of plugins and installers.

At least the trojan gets set up in a resource-friendly way:

If it’s been longer than 2 minutes, it starts the mining. If it’s been less than 2 minutes, it checks the total CPU usage:
    ps -A -o %cpu | awk '{s+=$1} END {print s }'

divides that by the number of CPU cores:
    sysctl hw.logicalcpu |awk '{print $2 }')

and if it’s greater than 85%, it stops the mining. The script itself is a bit different across versions, but the general idea stays the same.

Yes. Bubba Zenetti, The Den and Volatile. I lived on these sites in the late 90s. It's nice to meet you, Seckkksee.

THE DEN! I couldn't remember the name of that site, there was a few more, but I remember getting SO much stuff from Zenetti (he has another prvt site now, but I can't get in, meh, I don't need it really) And I used mIRC almost exclusively for a while too. My first audiowarez was in 1996-7 I believe. Damn, that's fuckin 22 years ago, lololol.

The correct rating is whatever I feel like giving his comment as long as its an available rating. I was not rude nor condescending. Why even have a "dislike" reply if we cannot use it? That's censorship at its worst. However, I'll concede that disagree was not the appropriate rating, as his issue was allegorical and me staying I disagree would mean I'm calling him a liar. I'm sure he's not lying; he probably had downloaded bad software that fucked up his system, to which I feel for him.

@demha At least they are letting you know that it is indeed INFECTED  The best thing is that 3 did not even detected it. That is why if you are using w4r3z downloading from a trusted source is imperative. AV programs do nothing but tax your system. So why use something that lowers performance and cant even offer 100% protection?

I dunno. Like Im having the most difficult time TRYING to find bad warez since this topic came up. I'm actually putting in the effort to find bad warez, it's really difficult. the first links that come up are Az, ProAuduioTorrent, Magesys... those alone are safe sites, why would u search further??
But I'm not using the word for 'cracked' in Indian or Chinese... I suspect when u use those terms ur gonna find more volatile search results.
