Its normal to debate which DAW is better I don't see what's wrong with it. People need to know the best DAW for them so they can reassuringly invest in it as in every product in the world

Yes, your (insert name) DAW (insert superior recording software) is better than mine (insert inferior recording software) and I surrender. You were right all along. How could I have not seen that?

Because people are still too affraid to admit that Repaer is the best DAW. Deal with it, Profools peasants.

Not to mention that mine sounds better, even without applying any process or doing anything. Just playing a raw file automatically adds more analog warmth than yours.

Or maybe it's my new SSD, idk.

Every DAW has its own advantages and disadvantages for specific tasks.

    Because 15 months ago,
    https://audiosex.pro/threads/do-all-daws-sound-the-same.55628/#post-503513
when DAW comparison questions had been argued about only 437 times before - without success,
fuckwits like me promised to deliver definitive test results - and have failed miserably.
    ---
Do all DAWs sound the same?
Not sure - still testing - could take a while :dunno:

Arguing about daws is right and important (even thought I don't do it usually, but it often helped me to read such threads), but often it get's kinda childish, and then it doesn't really helps anymore for people who just want to find the right or a new daw...

And sometimes I'm a little confused, when people who (say that they) make money with music are the most childish and active in a daw or plugin war thread... I'm always asking myself then... If you are so successfull, why do you still have so many time on your hands to argue with noobs who use the "wrong" daw? I don't want to offend anyone, but I think it's just a little weird.

Well, the way things usually go is first you have discussion, second some debate, third finally some barbed arguing, and last a full blown pissing match.

So yes, it would be nice but personally I can't get anything out of that. Same thing with "what's the best X" except first you have everybody listing their favourite Xs (without any rationale, of course) and then skip straight to arguing.

And then you of course get ones where the thread starter has already polarized the discussion so nothing good can come out of it.

Which were all Logic 10+ additions, implying you came to Logic late compared to how old it is.
For instance, I would say I can't live live without ES2 and EXS24, or at one point even EVP-88.
In 1999 I was already preferring EVP-88 over most Roland or Yamaha hardware that did EP sounds.
Plus there was only that or Cubase really as an option.
PT was including all the hardware at the time so it was just for the big boys!
So it is purely contextual, for me, that I am still with Logic after so long.
Obviously I've also had to pick up other DAWs sometimes too, but knowing most things about one of them already always helps.

Plus it's great now that people have more choice, and that also keeps development levels higher!
So there is really no point in recommending any DAW over another nowadays.
<cough> Although still when it comes to big projects involving film scoring it would seem that a few of today's main fave DAWs are weak in regards certain standards like syncing.
So there are 3 preferred choices generally...

+1 for "whatever works for you".
    Because they all can!

Same reason people fight over everything else.
Cliques. Tribalism. Sense of superiority. Stupidity.
It's a big world out there. Find the best tool that gets the job done and suits your needs.
Share that knowledge with the rest of the world. Learn from others' experiences.
    The rest is BS.

I think some daws are better with certain genres
for example ableton is more for techno and creative sampling
fl studio is more an edm style daw so each has its pros and cons

In the end we don't care much which DAW you are using but the music you are making with it, whatever genre of music it is actually.
Daw's war is useless because it is just a subjective question imho.

I agree... People should just accept that Cubase is the best DAW and stop fighting immediately.

IMHO it's on the same level as 'What synth should I use for Ambient music?'

Subjective and really, you can use anything if you care to focus on your tools for the needed amount of time.

What paintbrush should I use to make a Monet?

Most often they have to convince themselves that they didn't blew their hard earned cash on overpriced software.
It's not even about other opinions, lol. Well, those flame threads feel like a bunch of consecutive monologues for a reason.
