    to me this Poll Tells me that a lot of People are not that serious about there music production because the 2 Most used DAW's you cant get for Free Ableton Live 9 and Presonus Studio One to be serious you should pay for your DAW because that guarantees stability

    No amount of $$$ can guarantee the stability of Ableton. :)

    Yeah because they all suck. :rofl:

    Obviously I'm kidding but there are a lot of frustrations that come with your DAW of choice and sometimes you wish you could mix and match different elements from competing DAWs. Imagine FL Studio's piano roll combined with Cubase's mixer but also with Live's session view and Studio One's intuitive workflow. Why is nobody doing this again?

    Sorry I didn't see the question in time, glad you found it though. Maybe it could save you time from having to jump to another site to create the poll. All the best. :mates:

    I use Ableton Live. I've used them all but the day I saw Ableton I fell in love with the interface. Reason is great for beginners but it lacks vst compatibility. Cubase and Logic are awesome programs as well. Its all up to the producer really. Everyone's DAW of choice will probably very but Ableton is my hands down favorite.

    I've been meaning to give it another shot but there are a few things that stand in my way. For one it is not as efficient with plug-ins as Cubase and I also wonder if it offers a solid mixing platform like I can get with competing DAWs. Then I've also heard there are some major issues with plugin delay compensation. I am most worried about the efficiency though since I am working on an older computer and I need to squeeze the most out of my gear. What is your experience with the aforementioned?

    @Catalyst:

    I started years ago with Fruity Loops (now FL Studio) and Cubase 5. And finally i landed on Ableton Live. Ableton Live is somehow intuitive ans easy to use. Just watch some tutorials. I felt in Love with it since u can use the PC keyboard as midi keyboard to play notes. Resampling is just drag and drop cut paste glue freeeze tracks are so simle. The GUI is not overloaded. And I dont make house or thechno music at all. If you wanna listen to the music i made (all not professional but maybe worth listening). You can also edit videos vith Ableton Live. Go get a demo and use it. You make music so fast its incredible.

    Cheers

    Some links to get an idea how Ableton is like.

    Yeah I've definitely heard good things and plenty of artists that I respect are using it. I actually have the last release on an external, I might give it a shot and see what's the deal. I toyed with Live 8 a little but never on a full track, it was a little foreign to me because I am used to working in more traditional applications. I also have worked in FL Studio and recently made the switch to Cubase 5. Thanks for the videos mate.

    Samplitude is the BEST ... ever ! But, better for "producing", not for live sessions on stage thats is a fact. There is a thing called "Jam session" Inside wich seems to be cool for fast composing, but I never used it ...
