Another idea, which is quite unconventional but might spark your imagination, is to find your future wife abroad, marry her, and thereby obtain a residency permit for her in your country. There are many countries that are desperately poor, and some women would gladly leave to find a better life.

I'd like to add to that, that there is also love at 10th sight: Having another person in your life you feel so comfortable around that someday both ask themselves the question, why aren't we actually a couple?

It's not as intense as the falling in love head over heels at first sight but usually more stable and less crazy.
