    Tekturon

    Enter the Delay Matrix
Tekturon is a multitap-delay effect with 16 independent, high-quality delay lines. What really sets it apart from other, similar products, however, is the way it’s controlled and the unique topology into which the taps are arranged: The Delay Matrix. In fact, Tekuron can't be thought of as a tap-delay effect in the strictest sense, but more of a sequence of taps equally delayed from each other, whereby working with the plugin strongly resembles using a step sequencer. This rather unusual design should give your creativity just the kick it needs!

    Inspired by Ergonomics
Each and every aspect of the plugin’s workflow is presented in a visually clear and intuitive way, allowing for quick and precise control of every facet of the device, as well as the ability to easily tame all 16 delay lines it contains with global controls. The ability to visually grasp the entire layout with minimal effort allows you to achieve even the most complex results with extraordinary speed

    Fully-featured delay lines
Despite the imposed, fixed topology, each of the 16 delay lines has its own independent set of parameters providing complete control over:

    • Delay loop,
    • Panning,
    • Stereo spread,
    • Post-tap multi-mode filter.
Despite its superficially simple appearance, in the right hands Tekturon can be a very powerful production tool, indeed!

    Key features

    • 16 delay lines arranged in a sequence of taps equally delayed from each other
      • Quick-access Mute buttons for selectively suppressing lines’ outputs
      • Globally controlled (all 16 delay lines at once):
        • Time grid - The delay between subsequent taps and base delay time for all 16 feedback loops
        • Optional host tempo synchronization
        • Feedback base value
        • Shuffle (swing)
        • Master filter's settings
      • Locally (per delay line):
        • Feedback relative to base value
        • Delay time as multiple of Time grid
        • Local filter's settings
        • Stereo Panorama
        • Stereo Spread
        • Output volume with level indication
    • Ultra-low digital aliasing output
    • Tag based preset browser
    • MIDI-learn functionality
    • 64bit internal processing

More info here - Price: €69,00

Oh, it looks awesome. Let's hope that SoundToys will update their Echoboy's GUI to something similar. Or maybe S1 will add new feature - mixer templates.

    Repeater and Sigmund weren't enough?
I mean it's nice because d16 has only cool stuff, but don't they already have enough delays? Was this needed?

edit i looked the vid and of course it looks so awesome.

GUI is perfect! But really! 3 delay plugins! All different taste. This is nothing but marketing.
Soundtoys has all that modes in one plug.

Nope. This is not just a delay like sigmund or repeater. I think it it partially comparable to the delay part of the intellijel rainmaker, which is a stunning eurorack module. I would think this is a sound design tool that could be really shining at drone/atmospheric stuff. Echoboy is great but you can´t realize the same sort of things like with this plug. Echoboy simply does not have 16 individually programmable taps...

Yes, Relayer is probably my favourite delay. Be interesting to see what d16 do.

As you can all see I agree about them having 3 delay plugins not making me very excited, however this one makes me think of some really interesting stuff... you can do a lot of interesting things with this. It really is not yet another delay plugin. Repeater is more like a workhorse delay, Sigmund is ... I didn't bother demoing it as a delay shouldn't be that complicated and heavy on resources, but this one I can't wait to drop some of my saliva on it.

An idea [I wouldn't be alive if I can't find something that could be made better IMO LOL]: Why not having the ability to have more steps? 32 or even 64? It is a sequencer/delay blend after all. A simple additional button for changing pages and copy/paste pages et voila!

p.s. I'm glad they dropped the fish-eye 3D look. Their GUIs look excellent this way! Love the new Decimort and Devastor, too!

As everyone's been saying, first thing I thought when I saw this is it looks a lot like a simpler Relayer. Attractively priced, especially with the crossgrade offer ($58 if you own another D16 plug), but it looks like UVI is aware of this. They've recently updated Relayer to 1.5 apparently - and the only reason I know this is because Relayer is on sale for $10 more than Tekturon. At that price point you pretty much have to pick Relayer. Unfortunate for D16. I love what plugs of theirs I have, but I just can't think of a delay that is more capable that Relayer.

That said, these super complicated delay units are kind of niche products in my eyes. Often I use Echoboy or even Echoboy Jr. rather than relayer because most of the time my needs are pretty simple. I probably only need Relayer craziness 10-20 percent of the time.

Got this as soon as it dropped and it has immediately become a favourite of mine up there with EchoBoy. Outstanding delay plugin!

Relayer is has way more features.
UVI Relayer is still my go to, they updated to v1.5 last week and now added Ducking mode (MUST!!!) and Diffusion which allows you to create reverb style lushy dreaming delays.

If it comes to GUI i prefer Tekturon, but when it comes to features i really really recommend UVI Relayer (which can do the same as Tekturon and even more!).

UVI Relayer absolutely worth it's price while it's on sale now (no i'm not affiliated or a shareholder of UVI, it's just a solid plugin that deserves its money and i bet you can't find such VST with these features anywhere else).

D16 refuse to add Ducking to their delay plugins (i requested it to D16 and Steven Slate, even for their Repeater delay plugin, they ignore it).
