Chhantheman, there is a great post on the DUC on i7 builds. Not bleeding edge technology since the post is a few years old but will give you lots of tips on selecting components for your PC.

 

Maybe you won't believe me but I benchmarked an Intel i7 4770K and AMD FX 8370E with Reaper running a demanding project and i7 was faster, but not by a noticable margin. Certainly not a double price margin that Intel asks for it. I love Intel CPUs, but when you want a good computer, and you're on a budget, this AMD FX CPU gives you great performance for the money, especially when multicore multi-threaded processing is needed like in our case. If you compare only single thread performance i7 performs much better. When money is not the problem, it is best to assemble an i7 based computer for around $200 more yes.

I did not buy my system from these guys but by using the customization pricing they offer I developed an idea of what I could get based on my budget. I went to microcenter locally and had them build it so that I would have a store backing up my unit with a warranty. Yes I had to pay sales tax to do that but to me having the ability to take it back and wait while they fixed whatever was messed up was important. I only spent about $150 more doing it this way.
