Hey guys was wondering if anybody knows, but really, why is this forum feautured on audioz page newsfeed?

It gives the impression you can talk about warez here but obviously everybody hate that talk.

 

cuz u can talk about warez, but you can't request and moan about wanting certain things and acting like people don't have enough...

Also, it's not good to make these kinds of topics because it just creates more arguments and we already have a thread about this that just recently got locked:

Both sites are run by @SAiNT so he uses his audience from audioz to help drive this community. Some people get it, some don't and focus too much on bringing politics from the other site onto here and causing problems...

moderators: request to lock this thread before it gets out of hand...

You are allowed to talk about warez here. SAiNT is the only one who decides this and the rules of this forum are perfectly clear on this point. Discussions about warez are allowed, linking to or requesting warez is not.

Unfortunately some old time members has made it a sport to make fun of and redicule new members who did not read the rules and request some software to be cracked. Informing the newcomer of the rules is great but making fun of newcomers is unfortunate from lots of other perspectives.

For instance, besides being rude and giving the request unwanted attention, it makes it very easy for people who oppose Audioz and AudioSex, some developers etc, to start an account and simply request something. What then happends at AudioSex is that these long time members and followers who think you should act like them swarms the topic and makes fun of the newcomer. This reflect very badly of the whole forum when other members treats each other in this unfriendly way. Often some members goes way out of line and insults the poster and this cannot and should never be accepted in this forum imo. Some long time members upvotes these insults making the thread into a bullying area.

What should be done when someone requests some software to be cracked imo is that the newcomer should be welcomed to the forums and, in a friendly way, be made aware of rules and the topic/post reported to moderators. Somene who repeatadly and illwillingly is breaking the rules, well that is a completely different thing, but even then the member and post should be reported, there is simply no need to start a flame war with insults reflecting badly of the forum we love.

Edit: Also this thread is clearly not linking to or requesting warez, it is a question. There is no reason to go crazy over this.

I agree with farao here........this is a valid question and he gave a good answer. I don't think threads like this should be immediately shut down by mods. I remember wondering the same thing as demetrisag when i first came across these two sites

There are clearly ways to approach anything. If you feel so strongly (going by the length of your post) then I'll expect to see your open arms welcome when somebody drops in requesting on their first post.


Perhaps they should have a bit more self control and acquaint themselves with the etiquette of this particular forum first? Are you in the habit of walking into a hotel dressed in Jeans and requesting a free bottle of Château Mouton Rothschild '56?

Welcome friend, don't mind the piss taking trolls, someone (more talented at providing free stuff than me) will provide for your every (FREE) need.

 

Your analogies is not even remotely adequate, though quite funny. I enjoy irony and a good joke so thumbs up for that even if the target is somewhat missed.

You will see me welcoming a newcomer that did not read the rules making a first time request. I will simply and kindly point out the rules as I am quite sure is what SAiNT would like us to do. Insulting and making fun of newcomers should not be in the interest of a well functioning community.

It is a fact that a lot of people do not read the rules when the sign up for a membership on the intenet. It does not make them bad. To believe that they out of dispite or ill will request something is probably wrong and to use cannons to shoot someone down when a friendly tap on the shoulder might be all that is needed have bad consequenses. You will make them feel they are not welcome at all. I am not saying anthing but common sense here.

I think we should report request as requests are against the rules.

One problem is when someone insults other members and reverts to namecalling.

The major thing i object to is the really strange phenomenon that long time members insult and make fun of people just discussing warez. These discussions are allowed here and you as a long time member should know this. To be agressive in these cases is just crazy and hijacking legitimate threads telling them to stop discussing these things is not ok.

This thread is such an example when long time members are objecting to a thread that is not against the rules, trying to publicly shut a certain topic up. This is disgraceful, would you like to have this done to your own topics just because someone tries to interprate it to something you yourself did not mean it to be?

You would not yourself like be told to stop starting legitimate threads, would you, so you are actually breaking the rules when you do this. Read them for yourself. If you do not understand what I am saying, send me a PM and I will try to explain myself clearer via PM.

You really should not go around asking legit threads to be locked. And, quite importantly, just disagreeing with you is not a thread getting out of hand. Insults and making fun of others is.
