    Hi,

Someone who uses Launch Control XL or similar, how do you use it to get the most out of the quickcontrols (track & vst) and the Generic Remote?

    Thank you

"Program" it yourself? Failing that, the manufacturer usually has a Cubase template? Well, ish. Does it have (I dunno exactly about the LC XL) "scenes" for different DAW? Cos that might be a good start point / may well do everything you need?

    Failing that, try here...

The gist seems to be to NOT set all MIDI in, and setup as Mackie HUI instead of generic...

Can't rly help w/ "scenes" (like presets for control surface), tho. Still haven't found one for the one ima using! :D DIY only option...

    Thank you for answering famouslut.

I know configure and use the LC XL, also using the Mackie HUI.

The problem is that cubase only offers the possibility of controlling 8 track parameters and another 8 instrument parameters. (quick controls)

I would like to be able to control more without losing configurations.
If I configure and use GENERIC REMOTE, I must use the same template, because if the projects have different tracks everything is deconfigured. That's why I ask if someone has LC XL with cubase, how do you use it.

I dunno, but I don't think you should rly be using the "quick controls" thing, click on the + and select Mackie HUI or whatev from dropdown (nearby). Configure control surface to use that. Make sure "All Midi" box is unchecked on MIDI in/out page. You may have to "learn" all buttons/sliders/knobs etcs, if you can't find template :O I feel ur pain if so!

As I understand it, the "quick control" thing is to *ahem* quickly automate modwheel / whatev. Not really designed for control surface. I dunno how many buttons you can add to (ie) Mackie thing, but it's moar than I could use w/ my control surface...
