Anyone knows how long this 50% gonna be? I have a legal version of Cubase Le so my price goes even under 50%...tempting. But I'm pleased with Ableton 10, and unsure if I need another DAW in my life...

I was tempted but then noticed it does not come with the USB-eLicenser.

 

I also found it offensive that they charge extra for a Licenser, even though it's not that much money....That is like buying a car and you have to pay extra money for the keys

 

Boxed version has an e-licenser.... just for your information.

I dont really fancy dongles myself, but I´ve had a e-licenser dongle for years now, it works great and I have several applications added to it - so it´s a one time investment as I see it.

It could be worse, you could of bought a car online only to find out the keys are free but you have to download the car.

I knew that someone would be writing a similar comment and it had to be you my friend!

 

The same goes for me.
BUT the fun part may begin, when the eLc is broken and you need to get new Lics for every App/Lib that's not delivered by Steinberg. The free License replacement to a new Licenser (zero downtime) is only valid for Stinberg products. I really fear the day that it's broken.
(But it's far, far better than the costly replacement policy for the iLok)

 

I upgraded from 9.5 also at 50% - at that price I'm actually ok with the new features and, oddly enough, its performance seems improved over the previous version, at least on my system.

 

I am not shivering anymore. The deed is done!

This was a wild new feature that prolly got loads of requests! :D



Anyway, the new kinda "fullscreen" lists (ie no lists scrolling) is a lifesaver. Literally best introduced thing since C5. Curse it every time I'm forced to use it! (No doubt it's been there since 5, but never found an option?)

Well, I couldn't let this sweet-arse deal go, could I?!
Also bought and found a better price at Absolute Music Solutions (paid £132 for Cubase Artist 10, which included free next day delivery - also cheaper than Thomann.de!)

Was easy to get up & running and, while you can't initially choose where to install the plug-in & sample libraries, you can use the Steinberg Library Manager afterwards to move anything wherever you want.

To those trying to buy direct from Steinberg and complaining there's no dongle... Go to any online retailer and they'll send you the retail box that includes it along with a registration code
(software has to be downloaded from the website)
