Cubase Preset changes automation

    I want to use different configuration of some VST Fx plugins for different parts of the songs, save them as presets, and automate the changing of presets. How can I do this?

    One possible solution is using different tracks but, I don't want to overload my CPU or RAM with loading one plugin twice.

    Another possible solution will be recording automating all of the single parameters, but it seems it doesn't work.

    Should work with write and read buttons in the plugin.

    Just press the little W-button and select the preset. Cubase will apply the parameter changes, the preset's name will remain the same.
    By showing automation tracks you can see what is changed and edit the values (for dynamic/continuous changes for instance).

    I tried this several times, but it seems it doesn't work for ozone 8. :dunno:

    sometimes works, sometimes not. I had problems with Amplitube 4 PC automation, too.

    I have not tried a chainer plugin like bluecat's patchwork 2 with ozone 8. Will this solve it? I remember the screen wasn't shown in the bluecats with the ozone 7 vst3.
    Maybe a chainer plugin that offers preset automation?
