got it had problems first with fkin e-licencer... but managed..

ok, they're moving to the docked territory. that means every time you double click an event it will open it in the docked editor(which is super cool with LOTS of potential!) in the DOWN territory...it also has a sampler and a sampler track that communicates with it nicely!

SiMPLE THiNGS like curved automation and locking of track height haVEnt yet been achieVEd...
this is a bit ridiculous in my opinion for a ver9 major and b-e-l-o-v-e-d DAW....

Updated today and I'm sorry so say I think, as this is meant to be a major upgrade, it's very, VERY poor. Lots of the old issues still remain and the 'improvements', when you really think them, don't add up to much. Can't say I'm impressed at all. :-(

 

i updated too (99 € online from 8.5), and i agree @krakenfart.
Had several trouble on 1 PC ( the crappy one with zillion plugins the sistersite stuff for test reasons) crashs+ hangup several times and i was WTF??? C 8.5 didnt make any trouble here...

Installed on a 2nd PC ( the music production only) and it works.

I want all STEINBERG VST plugin windows SCALEABLE!!! I work on a 40" 4 k Monitor.
STEINBERG are u kidding??? Every window has different fontsizes and Retrologue is a bit to small to read from like 80cm distance. The revelation size fits best, you can still read it at a distance.

here an impression http://prnt.sc/dgo87d if you dont watch this on a 4 k monitor u need to make it fit to your 1920x1080p to get an impression how it looks here, dont boost it to 200%, reduce it to 50%. I hope u know what i mean.

forget, it's impossibile because the VST host just acts as an in/out hub, anything else is done independently by the plugin which is a DLL file providing calls for in/out and not much else.

the whole GUI of the plugin is done by the plugin, not by the host ! the host just wraps it into a window.

if you've a 4K and your plugin runs in 640px you're fucked, nothing you can do until the plugin developers add a Zoom option.
some plugins work using a Vector GUI, in that case they're scalable in any resolution, all the others use Bitmaps are they're stuck to low-res.

this is true also outside of audio apps, fact is nobody expected monitors to become so large in just a few years and in the meantime many developers went out of business or they've no intention to release high-res version of their old products.

so, blame the developers, not cubase or photoshop.

 

i was asking for scaleable STEINBERG Plugins (yes, VectorGUI), the can scale the mixer or the tracksizes why not the plugins?
Funny enough other plugins are scaleable, or at least they have a zoom option like the System1 plugin has 200% which works acceptable (this seems Bitmapscaling).

 

MixConsole now gets a History function, letting you jump back to any stage of a mix and undo or redo any of the actions you have taken.

 

This was long overdo.

 

Thius is the norm for most software. Between manufacturing discs/publishing master golden final digital for release, they will inevitably have beta testers discover bugs. I'd go as far as saying ALL decent software, including games, will have a .1 update on release day.

 

This really kicks the Lama's ass...
